Kingfisher Airlines Grabbed the Umpiring Rights for the Indian Premier League

Kingfisher Airlines, the five star airlines in India has grabbed the Umpiring rights for the Indian Premier League . Their brand label will be pasted on the costumes of the umpires and also for all the third umpire decisions. They grabbed these rights for $106 million for a period of five years.

The chairman for the Kingfisher group Dr. Vijay Malaya felt really happy for grabbing the umpiring rights. He stated that the brand value for their Airlines will increase with this advertisement. He said that he will present the umpires with unique costumes to present their brand style.

Lalit Modi, the chairman of DLF "Indian Premier League" said he is happy that country’s five star Airline Company is sponsoring the Umpiring rights for the Indian premier league.

Earlier the television rights for the Indian Premier League were grabbed by the Sony group for $1 billion for the next 10 years and the franchises were bought by Industrialists like Malaya, Ambani and film actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Preethi Zinta.

The Indian Premier League is all set to start on April 18th and will last for around 44 days with a total of 59 matches. The matches are going to be conducted in afternoon and evening times to encourage the stadium viewers.

There will be a total 117 hours of family entertainment all this summer through this Indian Premier league. The matches are scheduled on the basis such that each team will play 7 matches at their home ground.

There will be a total of seven teams from which four teams will be selected to the semifinals that will fight for the finals and the winner in the finals will grab the cup along with huge prize money.
