Sri Lanka trying to make it's way to the Indian Premier League

Sri Lankan cricket board asked the Pakistani cricket board to postpone the series with them in order to prevent the clash with the Indian Premier League .

The Sri Lankan cricket board said that their top players like Jayasurya, Dilashan may not be available for the series as they are participating in the Indian Premier League which is going to start from April 18th.

This series was scheduled after the cancellation of the series with the Australia. This series is scheduled with five One-day matches starting from April23rd to May5th, but as these dates are coinciding with Matches scheduled in Indian Premier League players may not be available for the series.

Previously the Pakistan cricket board offered $800,000 to the Sri Lankan cricket board for the participation in this series, but only in the presence of the whole team.

The Sri Lankan cricket board has already stated that they have released their players for the participation in the Indian Premier League and they cannot cancel it now.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah has already expressed his displeasure about the series against Pakistan.

The "Indian Premier League" is all set to start from April 18th. The teams in this league include top players from different countries in their line up. All the players in the teams are previously auctioned and are bought by different teams with their costs ranging from $100,000 to $1.5million.
